Cancellation Policy

Policy
In the event that we have to cancel morning services due to extreme weather, please tune into AVR 97.7 FM, Magic 94.9 FM or Rock 89.3 FM for a cancellation notice. The decision to cancel will be made collaboratively with Trustees, Deacons and the Pastor and will be based on the best information available at the time and the safety of the Church Family. We will avoid cancelling Sunday morning services if at all possible. At all times individuals should make their own decisions about travel during inclement weather.

Procedures
1. The Chair of the Deacon’s board ( or designate) will contact a trustee to determine if the Church parking lot has been ploughed and to discuss the weather conditions.
2. The Chair of the Deacon’s board ( or designate) will contact the other deacons and the Pastor to discuss the weather conditions.
3. When a decision is made to cancel church, the Chair of the Deacon’s board ( or designate) will contact AVR 97.7 FM , Magic 94.9 FM ( 902-678-2111) and K Roc89.3 FM ( 902 365-8930) radio stations to give notice of cancellation.
4. Every effort will be made to notify as many members as possible of the church cancellation.
